Welcome to Lana Bambini - the world's loveliest natural clothing

Organic Merino Wool Terry Sleepsuit

These lovely thick sleepsuits have sadly been discontinued. Blue have sold out - just red and natural left.

Lots of parents absolutely swear by these (ourselves included). The merino wool is incredibly soft, and they are warm and cosy but highly breathable so do not cause overheating in the way that synthetics do. We use ours every single night from autumn right through to spring; and now in cut double sizes, they last an incredibly long time.

The do shrink slightly with machine washing but this is allowed for in the sizing which is very generous. Ideal for wearing over cloth nappies.

They need very little washing, just air frequently and wash occasionally.

Wool is wonderful for regulating body temperature so can really help babies and children sleep. Try them and you'll never go back to cotton sleepsuits again!

Please note the sizing on these is so generous that we have re-sized them to fit UK children. Please email us if you would like measurements

WOOL AND WOOL/SILK CARE

Wool and silk/wool do not need as much washing as cotton. These fabrics are repellent to bacterial growth and have amazing self-cleaning properties. Air these garments frequently and you will find they smell fresh for many wears

This should be gently hand washed or machine washed on a 30 deg wool cycle using a specialist detergent for delicate fabrics only.

Wool is very sensitive to both temperature and pH so never use cold water, or a cold rinse after a warm wash as this can 'shock' the wool and cause matting. It's also essential to use a proper wool detergent.

An occasional light lanolin treatment will also prolong the life and help maintain the natural waterproof and dirt resistant qualities. More more information see our washing and care section here

Spread to dry flat away from a direct heat source. They can be hung on the line to dry if they are not too wet (which may cause the garment to stretch out of shape).

For tough stains use gall soap, a powerful natural stain remover which is kind to delicate fabrics. Dab the gall soap on to the stain, leave a few minutes then wash as normal.

We don’t recommend dry-cleaning any fabrics used by children due to the toxic chemical perchloroethylene which remains in the fabric after cleaning.

Pilling occurs naturally with many wool products and you can find out more about how to deal with this here.

I purchased this and a another fleece one. This is my favorite, the quality is excellent. Soft, warm and washes well. (Posted on 12/09/2016)
Too bad about the resizingReview by Anne

I have two of these sleepsuits, had the smallest size and the next size up-and yes they are great, but I find it very unforunate that they have been re-sized. I did not realise this when I purchased it and was just wondering why the body of it seems so short for my Dutch-Australian 5 month old, who needs more room and has now grown out of both. We've used this sleep suit for the last 5 years and each size has lasted 2 winters. Our daughter old has just grown out of 98/104. She sleeps in a bunk now so footed sleep suit is not suitable but it's been just the best nightwear we've ever had. (Posted on 08/03/2016)
Lovely but doesn't make nappy changing easyReview by Boydie

This is a really nice sleepsuit, very soft and thick as described. However it doesn't have poppers/ opening around the legs, so makes nappy changing difficult, especially when it gets towards the upper size limit. But it's true, I'm not going back to cotton sleepsuits after trying this! (Posted on 25/02/2016)
